Emergency First Aid at Work

This Emergency First Aid at Work full day course covers the role of designated First Aid Appointed Person and this includes looking after the equipment and facilities and calling the Emergency Services when required. Arrangements should be made for an Appointed Person to be available to undertake these duties at all times when people are at work.

 

On this course you will gain knowledge of emergency procedures and attain a recognised qualification in First Aid. By the end of the course delegates will be capable of controlling accidents in the workplace, control accident records and first aid equipment needed, maintain a safe and healthy work environment in relation to first aid provision and administer first aid or assistance to another First Aider at the scene of an accident.

  • Action at an Emergency

  • Disorders of the Circulation

  • Primary & Secondary Assessment

  • Bleeding / Burns / Epilepsy

  • Defibrillator Training

Assessment and Certification

The course is delivered by an expert trainer and all candidates will be observed during training. Delegates will be required to complete a short written examination at the end of the course and show competence in practical skills of subjects taught in various scenarios. The Emergency First Aid at Work is valid for 3 years from date of course.
